Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Blue Ocean Ventures Inc ("Nimbli", "we", "us", or "our") handles personal information collected through our marketing website at nimbli.ca (the "Site") and in the course of our sales, marketing, and support activities with prospective and current clinic customers. We are a Canadian practice-management software provider for counselling and mental-health clinics.
We are committed to handling personal information responsibly and in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy law, including the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, provincial privacy legislation such as British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and other provincial personal-information and health-information statutes (for example, Ontario's PHIPA) that may apply to our customers.
1. Scope of this Policy
This Policy governs personal information we collect about visitors to our Site and prospective and current customers (clinics, their owners, administrators, and practitioners) through our marketing, sales, and support activities.
Patient and client data handled within the Nimbli product is governed separately. When a clinic uses the Nimbli platform, that clinic is the party responsible (the "controller" or, under PIPEDA, the organization accountable) for the personal and health information of its own clients, and Nimbli processes that information on the clinic's behalf under a separate services agreement and data processing terms. That product data handling is not covered by this marketing-site Policy.

- Any information you choose to include when evaluating the product or corresponding with us.

4. Legal Basis and Consent
We collect, use, and disclose personal information with your knowledge and consent, except where otherwise permitted or required by law. Consent may be express or implied depending on the sensitivity of the information and the circumstances. 5. Disclosure and Third-Party Service Providers
We do not sell your personal information. We may share personal information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. We rely on third-party vendors to help us operate our Site and business - for example, website and application hosting, analytics, email and communications, customer-relationship management, and payment processing. These providers are authorized to use personal information only as necessary to provide services to us.

- Business transactions. In connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal information may be disclosed to the parties involved, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
6. Cross-Border Processing
Nimbli operates only in Canada. Personal information collected through the Site is stored and processed in Canada, and we do not transfer it internationally or across borders in the ordinary course of operating the Site. If this changes in the future, we will update this Policy and take reasonable steps, through contractual and other means, to ensure that personal information continues to receive a comparable level of protection wherever it is processed.
7. Cookies & Analytics
Our Site may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and understand how the Site is used. Analytics tools help us measure traffic and improve the experience. You can usually control or disable cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Site functions.
8. Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, to maintain our business relationships, and to meet our legal, accounting, and reporting obligations. When personal information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to securely delete, destroy, or anonymize it.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or modification, appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
